Apollo is one of the better Australian Greek restaurants in Sydney.
It can be difficult to get a reservation at times however that should not deter you from turning up as they are happy to take your name and number and text you when a table is ready.
“The District” as it is known is a true food destination. While not having the ambiance of “Spice Alley” but given the heavy Asian concentration around Chatswood this is where to find some of the best Asian street foods. From noodles to dumplings to all things asian in food, Chatswood Westfield Level 2 & 3 above the Railway Stn Interchange is a very popular hawker style food court.
Another example of urban renewal and revival, Spice Alley located in Kensington Street close to the City CBD is a new “hawker-style” food destination in a row of 19th century terraces.
You can dine on Singaporean dishes at Alex Lee Kitchen, Bang Luck Thai Street Food, Old Jim Kee’s Malaysian spices and Cantonese street food from Hong Kong Diner. You can also dine at the Japanese dining hall KYO-TO or Vietnamese fares from Mekong.
This is the ultimate Asian cuisine casual dining destination.
The Tramsheds at Harold Park (near Glebe) is another “repurposing” project that is now a fantastic food destination. Combining a range of restaurants and cafes and other services it is beautifully done and the quality of food here from the high end restaurants down to cafes and supermarket (IGA) is first class.
My favourite “Dust”. What better name could you call a bakery and pizzeria and the bread is the best in Sydney. (big call I know but I stand by it.)
Located at 3 Bridge Lane in the City this is an outstanding Cantonese style Restuarant. Part of the Merivale Group which sets a high standard you can be assured of a very good dining experience. You need to book.
Located in Mosman on the Lower North Shore Fourth Village is a wonderful Italian based cafe/restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner.
Tucked away in the bottom of a 1930’s Deco building in Darlinghurst this institution remains as one of Sydney’s finest Italian restaurants.
